John 8:35:  So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

About Us

Joe and Brenda Ross are Set Free Ministry.  We have been involved in children’s ministry for nearly 20 years, ministering in churches, campgrounds, malls, fairgrounds, church camps, and city streets.  We have also gone on short term foreign mission trips into Mexico.  We are now expanding our ministry to include Bible School.

If there is any way we can help you in your ministry, please be sure to contact us.

We are happy to accept free-will offerings. We do not charge a set fee for our ministry programs.

Comedy, Clowns and Magic

Mix a little ADHD with a great sense of humor, and you really don’t know what’s going to happen, just that you’re going to laugh a lot!

Joe uses Gospel Illusions as object lessons to teach important Biblical principals.  Take a look at Jethro and his flaming Bible illusion - a favorite with the children and adults!

His character, Jethro, is an obnoxious but hilarious clown that follows us around, getting into trouble wherever he goes. He tries to bumble his way through some illusions, and he ALWAYS has a story to tell.

Music, Mime and Stories

Brenda suffers from I.A.S (Instrument Acquisition Syndrome). Her current collection includes Hammered Dulcimer, mountain dulcimer, penny whistle, Bohdran (Irish Drum), harmonica and “Canjo”. The collection tends to increase without warning. Brenda has been playing hammered dulcimer since 1992, and loves to blend her dulcimer and voice in a mix of Hymns, praise and worship music, and contemporary Christian music.

Brenda also loves to interpret music with her hands! She uses American Sign Language to illustrate the powerful message of the gospel using contemporary Christian music.

On occasion, the Story Lady comes out to tell a Bible Story, sometimes helped a bit by some of her puppet friends.  She has also been working on improving her cartooning and face painting skills, and is starting to add these to the children's programs.
